We Are Home Counties Ecology

Home Counties Ecology are based in the South of England and undertake all aspects of ecology, nationwide. We have a significant amount of experience on a variety of huge infrastructure projects spanning the UK, from trainline construction and motorway expansion, to river restoration and sensitive historic buildings.

Home Counties Ecology is a company based on strong principles as well as a realistic approach to getting things done so clients can complete their remits. The team have a variety of licenses including Great Crested newt licenses, dormouse licenses, level 2 bat licences, schedule 2 bird licenses and more. Richard and his team are also qualified in rope access tree climbing for bat and bird nest work.

On large-scale projects we know how costly machinery and workforces are on site. This is why we pride ourselves on our relationships working with builders, project managers and developers to make sure there is no wasted time or resources during ecological destructive phases.

Wildlife Surveys

We have a number of reliable and professional licenced surveyors who work with us. We are able to supply surveyors on a daily or semi-permenant basis. Our surveyors are highly qualified and extremely experienced.

Habitat Surveys

Whether it's a preliminary roost assessment, phase 1 habitat survey, or something more specialist, we can help you. We work with our clients to provide sensible plans over achievable and realistic timelines, all whilst followinfg the associated guidance from the governing bodies.
